Cywilizacja jest dla jadnostki najszerszą płaszczyzną identyfikacji, z którą silnie się utożsamia. Określa ją historia, obyczaje, instytucje społeczne, czasami język i oczywiście religia. Wszystkie wielkie cywilizacje kształtował się w oparciu o wielkie religie.(fragment tekstu)

he problems dealing with the article concerning the issues linked to American position in international relations, specially with Europe. How did it happen that country which was based on the doctrine of isolationism became a superpower after the II world war taking traditional European place in the world. The End of bipolarity created new image of the world's order and United States stayed as the only superpower which had to deal with other countries and their growing aspirations. The differences between Europe and America came from the dispute on searching new roles for each of them. War with terrorism and intervention in Iraq made that dispute really strong and hard. It seemed in 2003, that American - European alliance, after more then 50 years, would be very hard to keep, specially in a contest of definition of European and American national interest. Why old Europe was so strong against American activity and will it ruin the base of common western values? (original abstract)
