Druga część zawiera zestawienie, prezentowanych w piśmiennictwie, teoretycznych dociekań oraz wyników badań empirycznych koncentrujących sib wokół problemu substytucji i komplementarności kredytu handlowego i bankowego. Trzecią część pracy poświęcono relacji między dwoma rozpatrywanymi źródłami finansowania w okresach kryzysu. (fragment tekstu)

This article deals with the problems related to the use of trade credit in financing business operation against the background of the other source of external capital - bank credit. The article is a review of selected literature on the relationship between the two above-mentioned forms of financing. Analysing the literature of the subject, one can conclude that trade credit can be a substitute for bank credit. There are also a growing number of publications that pinpoint an informational role of trade credit, which can be used by banks to update their assessment of the creditworthiness of a business. For the sake of topicality, special emphasis has been paid to the relationship between the use of trade credit and bank credit in selected cases of financial crisis. (original abstract)
