Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest analiza wpływu wdrażania regulacji bankowych na rozwój aktywności związanej z procesami konsolidacyjnymi. Przeprowadzone badania jednoznacznie wskazują, że wdrażane regulacje dotyczące sektora bankowego mają wpływ na wycenę rynkową banków komercyjnych, a inwestorzy pozytywnie oceniali przeprowadzane zmiany. Wprawdzie trudno wysnuwać jednoznaczne wnioski, to jednak wydaje się, że obecna sytuacja spowoduje obniżenie rentowności prowadzonej działalności przez banki, a tym samym przyczyni się do zdynamizowania procesów konsolidacyjnych. The objective of the article is to analyse the influence of implementation of banking regulations upon the development of activity connected with consolidation processes. The conducted research unequivocally indicates that implementation of regulations pertaining to the banking sector influences market quotations of commercial banks. Investors expressed positive opinions about the changes. Although it would be difficult to draw definite conclusions, it seems that the present situation will reduce profitability of banking operations, and that consequently it will contribute to an increased dynamics of consolidation processes.
