Rozwój Internetu znacząco zmienił warunki funkcjonowania i konkurowania branży hotelarskiej. Development of the Internet has profoundly changed the conditions of operation and competition in the hotel industry. Consumer electronic assessments and the possibility of an online booking by the specialized platforms are the key elements of this new reality. Consumer ratings reflect the way in which the provider of accommodation is enrolled in the consciousness of the recipient, so it shows the positioning of the offer. The aim of this study was to determine the positioning of hotels in Krakow from the perspective of consumer ratings and price available on the platform Booking.com. Cluster analysis made by Ward's method has identified five main market positions differentiated in terms of standard, location and price. The results allowed to determine groups of similar hotels, which can provide practical guidance to Krakow's hoteliers informing them how their hotel is perceived and who exactly is their direct competition.
