Uniwersytet Otago zgodnie ze swoim statutem jest zobowiązany do komercjalizacji własności intelektualnej oraz budowania powiązań badawczych z sektorem prywatnym. Aby ułatwić ten proces, powołano do życia trzy podmioty. Są to: Centrum Innowacji Uniwersytetu Otago, Centrum Badań i Rozwoju, Otago Innovation Ltd.(abstrakt autora)

To facilitate this process appointed to life three entities. These are: Innovation Centre of the University of Otago, Centre for Research and Development, Otago Innovation Ltd.(author's abstract)
