Kolejna (tj. 27) część Biblioteki Myśli Spółdzielczej poświęcona jest bankom pobożnym (Montes Pietatis) oraz okolicznościom ich narodzin, zwłaszcza w XV w. za sprawą zakonników franciszkańskich, realizujących w ten sposób w praktyce chrześcijańską zasadę miłosierdzia i pomocy potrzebującym. Publikujemy tłumaczenie fragmentów książki P. Heriberta Holzapfela, Początki banków pobożnych (1462- 1515) wydanej w Monachium w 1903 r. [tyt. oryginału: P. Heribert Holzapfel, Die Anfänge der Montes Pietatis (1462-1515), München 1903]. W tym numerze przypominamy treść rozdziałów I i II, w kolejnym numerze kwartalnika ukażą się fragmenty rozdziałów III oraz IV książki Holzapfela. (abstrakt oryginalny)
The next (27) part of the Cooperative Thought Library is dedicated to pious banks (Montes Pietatis) and the circumstances of their birth, especially in the fifteenth century by the Franciscan monks, realizing this way the Christian principle of charity and outreach in practice. We publish a translation of excerpts of the P. Heribert Holzapfel's book, entitled The Origins of the Montes Pietatis (1462-1515) published in Munich in 1903, [original title: P. Heribert Holzapfel, Die Anfänge der piety Montes (1462-1515), München 1903]. In this issue, we remind the contents of Chapters I and II, in the next issue of the quarterly we will publish excerpts of Chapters III and IV of the Holzapfel's book. (original abstract)
