This paper compares the impact of regional price deflators on the results of convergence analysis at different levels of territorial aggregation. We take as an example the evolution of income disparities between 16 NUTS2 and 66 NUTS3 Polish regions. We find that the real regional income disparities are lower than the nominal ones and that the difference is greater at the NUTS3 level. Also, the application of regional price deflators seems to have a certain impact on the results of the analysis devoted to the dynamics of the regional income distribution. (original abstract)
