Sector of Knowledge-Intensive Services in Poland Against Selected Countries in the World

Abstrakty
Panuje przekonanie, że wiedza jest źródłem wzrostu gospodarczego, a tworzone na jej podstawie innowacje wpływają na konkurencyjności gospodarek oraz firm. Gospodarka oparta na wiedzy sprzyja innowacjom i rozwojowi usług, zwłaszcza opartych na zaawansowanej wiedzy. Celem artykułu jest próba porównania rozwoju usług wiedzochłonnych w Polsce z wybranymi krajami świata. W pierwszej kolejności zdefiniowano istotę usług wiedzochłonnych oraz zwrócono uwagę na tendencje rozwojowe. Do realizacji postawionego celu wykorzystano metodę analizy skupień. Analizę sektora usług wiedzochłonnych przeprowadzono na podstawie przeglądu literatury oraz danych statystycznych pobranych z bazy Eurostatu.(abstrakt oryginalny)
It is convinced that knowledge is the source of economic growth, and the innovations that are created on it are influencing the competitiveness of economies and companies. Knowledge-based economy fosters innovation and development of services, especially advanced knowledge. The aim of the article is to compare the development of knowledge-intensive services in Poland with selected countries in the world. First, the essence of knowledge-intensive services was defined and attention was paid to development trends. Multidimensional statistics methods were used to achieve this objective. Analysis of research results on the knowledge-intensive market shows that Poland is on an upward trend, which may lead to a reduction in disparities in the level of development compared to analyzed countries.(original abstract)
