Celem głównym artykułu będzie identyfikacja i charakterystyka procesu przygotowania oraz wysłania zamówień do dostawców w systemach logistycznych przedsiębiorstw handlu detalicznego wielkopowierzchniowego poprzez wskazanie jego celu, etapów, osób odpowiedzialnych i wykonawców, dokumentów oraz metod przygotowania. The systematic supply of goods is the basis for maintaining the correct stock and efficient functioning of large-area retail enterprises. Taken actions are intended to maintain the continuity of sales offered by the assortment, by guaranteeing customers access to certain tangible goods at a given time and place, in the right quantity and quality at acceptable logistics service costs. Consequently, the proper preparation and dispatch of orders to suppliers play an important role. It should be emphasized that in the retail trade the realization of this process takes place in diverse conditions. Orders are elaborated both on the conditions of certainty and uncertainty, as to the size and structure of demand or delivery capacity. The main purpose of the article is to identify and characterize the process of preparing and sending orders to suppliers in the logistics systems of large-area retail businesses, by indicating its purpose, stages, responsible persons and contractors, documents and methods of preparation. The stages of its implementation include: the characteristics of the subject structure, the object and the functional in the logistic systems; identification of the stages of the preparation and dispatch of orders to suppliers; recognition of methods of order preparation for suppliers. The research method used is a direct observation. The observation was carried out in the four largest retail chains operating in Poland. It is worth mentioning that the author of the work was a longtime employee of the company, leading at various levels of management, various sectors and departments. (original abstract)
