The aim of this paper was to build the calibration models to find the correlation between the spectra of studied soda ash (sodium carbonate) mixtures and the content of contamination. Sodium mixtures have been subjected to NIR at a broad range of wavenumbers (12500-4000 cm-1). The regression analysis using the partial least squares (PLS) and principal component regression (PCR) methods were applied to examine the correlation between the content of contamination in sodium and the respective spectra. The results indicate that the NIR spectroscopy offers a promising approach for quality evaluation of sodium. (original abstract)
Celem pracy było zbudowanie modeli kalibracyjnych w celu znalezienia korelacji pomiędzy widmami badanych mieszanin a zawartością zanieczyszczeń sody kalcynowanej (węglanu sodu). Próbki zmierzono w całym zakresie bliskiej podczerwieni (12500-4000 cm-1). Do poszukiwania zależności pomiędzy widmami a zanieczyszczeniem wykorzystano analizę regresji cząstkowych najmniejszych kwadratów (PLS) i analizę regresji głównych składowych (PCR). Wyniki wykazały, że spektroskopia NIR oferuje obiecujące podejście do oceny jakości sody kalcynowanej. (abstrakt oryginalny)
