Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie systemu DRG (Diagnostic Related Groups) w obszarze finansowania opieki medycznej oraz efekty jego wdrożenia w wybranych krajach UE (Anglia, Austria, Belgia, Dania, Finlandia, Francja, Holandia, Niemcy, Portugalia, Szwecja i Włochy). W artykule omówiono charakterystykę Jednorodnych Grup Pacjentów, proces ich wyodrębniania, zakres finansowania aktywności szpitali za pomocą systemu DRG oraz cele i osiągnięte efekty jego wdrożenia w omawianych krajach UE. The goal of the article is to present DRG system (Diagnostic Related Groups) in the area of healthcare financing and the effects of the system's implementation in various countries in the EU (England, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Holland, Portugal, Sweden and Italy). The article discusses characteristics of Diagnostic Related Groups, their selection process, scope of hospital financing through the DRG system and effects of the system's implementation in above mentioned EU countries.
