Abstrakty
Attention economy relates to the information management that treats human attention as a scarce resource and applies economic theories and frameworks to solve various information management problems. Attention is defined as a mental engagement on a particular item of information. Items come into our awareness, we attend to a particular item, and then we decide whether to act. In this article, attention is described as an autonomous component of relationship capital which is a part of intellectual capital. The theoretical and managerial implications for exposing attention as an element of IC are described. (original abstract)
