The processes of globalization have divided the world into two parts: rich countries of the North and the poor South. The countries of the Visegrad Group include economically developed countries characterized by a high standard of living. The objectives of this study are: analysis of the Fair Trade phenomenon on a global scale, in the V4 countries, comparison with selected European Union countries and an attempt to develop recommendations for the Visegrad Group countries in the development of Fair Trade. The development of cooperation of the V4 countries in the mentioned area can result in finding a solution to problems connected with illegal labor migration which is increasingly taking place in the EU.
