Abstrakty
The article deals with the formation of living values which are used as the main points of reference for a person's life and are meant to shape their behavior and activity in the social environment. The author focuses on specific characteristics of living value formation in the case of American students. The process is carried according to the principles of trust, care, safety, respect for the type of personality, motivation, cognitive development, self-realization, creativity. The author identifies four characteristic aspects of living values education that American students receive: correctness, intensity, dominance and inclusion. The analysis highlights the basic steps of the value formation process in higher educational establishments of the USA.(original abstract)
