Due to the disaster in Fukushima in 2011, the issue of nuclear energy has increased in importance in public discussion. Until then, mainly pro-nuclear energy arguments could be heard. The main goal of this article is, based on critical discourse analysis, to analyze the decision making process and knowledge production on nuclear energy in Poland and the role of the major actors in this process. First, the following questions regarding the public debate on and campaigns for nuclear energy are discussed: How is it constructed? What is the hidden agenda of the nuclear campaign? Where does it lead us? What language is being used? Which arguments are taken under consideration and which are covered with the veil of silence? Afterwards, the main issues in the debate are addressed: Safety, efficiency and profitability of nuclear energy production in the context of power relations. (original abstract)

Katastrofa w Fukushimie w 2011 roku sprawiła, że kwestia energii nuklearnej nabrała znaczenia w dyskusji publicznej. Wcześniej podkreślano przede wszystkim argumenty przemawiające za jej wykorzystaniem. Głównym celem niniejszego artykułu jest przeprowadzenie krytycznej analizy dyskursu związanego z procesem podejmowania decyzji oraz rozpowszechnienia wiedzy na temat energii jądrowej w Polsce, a także roli głównych podmiotów w tym procesie. W pierwszym rzędzie omówiono następujące pytania dotyczące publicznej debaty oraz kampanii na rzecz energii nuklearnej: W jaki sposób zostały skonstruowane? Czy za kampanią na rzecz energii jądrowej stoją jakieś ukryte motywy, a jeśli tak, to jakie? Jakiego używa się języka? Jakie przytacza się argumenty, a które argumenty są przemilczane? Druga część artykułu została poświęcona kluczowym zagadnieniom poruszanym w debacie: bezpieczeństwu, wydajności i opłacalności produkcji energii jądrowej, w kontekście globalnych relacji władzy.
