Autorka szuka odpowiedzi na pytanie, jaką strategię adaptacji politycznej przyjął Singapur w odniesieniu do swojej aktywności w Stowarzyszeniu Narodów Azji Południowo-Wschodniej (ASEAN). Weryfikuje hipotezę, że adaptacja ta charakteryzuje się kreatywnością, czyli że Singapur stara się dostosowywać do zmian zachodzących w środowisku regionalnym i wpływać na jego kształt. W pierwszej części artykułu omówiono koncepcję adaptacji politycznej, w drugiej wizję i założenia polityki zagranicznej Singapuru, w kolejnych zaś aktywność tego państwa w ASEAN.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The article focuses on the analysis of Singapore's political adaptation. The author attempts to answer the following question: What kind of strategy of political adaptation has been adopted by Singapore as regards its activity in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)? The paper verifies the hypothesis that Singapore's political adaptation is characterised by creativity, which means that Singapore strives to adjust to the changes taking place in the regional environment and tries to influence its shape. The article is divided into several parts. In the first one, the author discusses the concept of political adaptation, the second one focuses on the vision and principles of Singapore's foreign(original abstract)
