Abstrakty

Kompleksowe Progresywne Porozumienie ws. Partnerstwa Transpacyficznego (CPTPP) to megaregionalne porozumienie handlowe podpisane przez jedenaście państw regionu Azji i Pacyfiku 8 marca 2018 roku w Santiago (Chile). Powstanie CPTPP było bezpośrednią konsekwencją decyzji prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych Donalda Trumpa o wystąpieniu z Porozumienia Transpacyficznego (TPP). Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie nowo powstałego megaregionalnego porozumienia handlowego CPTPP, wskazanie na okoliczności jego powstania, treść dokonanych w nim rewizji w stosunku do pierwotnego formatu TPP, jak również nakreślenie perspektyw dalszego rozszerzenia omawianej struktury handlowej. W opracowaniu posłużono się metodami analizy statystycznej, opisowej oraz porównawczej. Przeprowadzona analiza dowiodła ograniczonej skali zmian w pierwotnym porozumieniu, tj. TPP, sprowadzających się w dużej mierze do zawieszenia kontrowersyjnych zapisów i koncesji dla strony amerykańskiej.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The Comprehensive Progressive Agreement on Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is a mega-regional trade agreement signed by eleven countries of the Asia-Pacific region on March 8, 2018 in Santiago (Chile). The establishment of the CPTPP was a direct consequence of the decision of the U.S. President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Trans- Pacific Partnership (TPP). The aim of the paper is to characterize the newly established megaregional CPTPP trade agreement, to indicate the circumstances of its creation, the content of its revisions compared to the original TPP format, as well as to outline the prospects for further expansion of the discussed trade structure. The study uses methods of statistical analysis, descriptive analysis and comparative analysis. The conducted analysis proved a limited scale of changes in the original agreement, ie TPP, which largely boils down to suspension of controversial provisions and concessions dedicated to the U.S. side.(original abstract)
