Abstrakty

Przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę dotychczasowych etapów rozwoju cywilizacyjnego społeczeństw ze szczególnym wyodrębnieniem ostatniego etapu rozwoju, zwanego społeczeństwem informacyjnym i podano jego definicję. Omówiono najważniejsze dokumenty stanowiące podstawę decyzji dotyczących zadań stojących przed ośrodkami decyzyjnymi, a wynikających z tworzenia się społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Omówiono także bardziej szczegółowo zadania stawiane przed statystyką w związku z potrzebami społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono pracy studialnej Biura Statystycznego Finlandii pt. On the Road to the Finnish Information Society oraz materiałów 83 Konferencji DGINS w Helsinkach (maj 1997). Omówiono różnorodne źródła informacji, z których należy korzystać dla stworzenia bazy danych, która zawierałaby wszystkie niezbędne informacje, zarówno dla ocen stanu i rozwoju gospodarki, jak i analiz specyficznych dla oceny stopnia rozwoju poszczególnych aspektów społeczeństwa informacyjnego, jak również dla porównań międzynarodowych. Przedstawiono sugestie dotyczące najważniejszych zadań wynikających z wymagań społeczeństwa informacyjnego dla polskiej statystyki. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The paper presents a short characteristics of the current stages in the development of civilized societies, with particular emphasis puton the last stage called the Information Society . The definition of the Information Society which could be helpful in designing the scope and methods of statistical surveys in order to fulfil the information needs on Information Society is presented. The paper also aims to explain the new tasks of statistics to meet the demands of the Information Society. Special attention is paid to the study of the Office the Finland's Statistics On the Road to the Finnish Information Society and to the 83-rd Conference of the Directors General of National Statistical Offices in Helsinki (May 1997). The different information sources for the creation of database comprising all data needed both for the evaluation of the state of the economy and its development and for analyses of the various aspects of the Information Society and for international comparisons are described. Some suggestions concerning the tasks of Polish statistics resulting from the needs of the Information Society are also formulated. (original abstract)
