This paper presents results from two studies of risks connected with online shopping which were conducted in 2017 and 2018 and 2019. The studies were carried out on a group of 400, 415 and 343 respondents, respectively, using paper questionnaires. The one year gap between the questionnaires allowed conclusions to be drawn not only about the relevance of factors shaping risk perception but also about the evolution of such perception over time. On the one hand, the studies revealed increased trust towards the online distribution channel, while on the other hand they showed the increased importance of risk areas such as express and punctual delivery, problem-free contact with the seller, quick solution of technical and logistical problems, recognition of complaints and delivery of correct products.
