Abstrakty

Artykuł ma na celu prezentację kolejnych rewolucji przemysłowych ze szczególnym naciskiem na rewolucję najnowszą, określenie ich przebiegu oraz skutków dla rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego, a także wskazanie najistotniejszych zmian, jakie następowały wraz z kolejnymi rewolucjami przemysłowymi w ekonomii. Postawiono tezę, że rewolucje przemysłowe należy rozpatrywać z perspektywy długookresowej, która daje pełny obraz przemian nie tylko technologicznych, lecz także społeczno-gospodarczych. Tym samym ocena zmian zachodzących w ramach dwóch ostatnich rewolucji przemysłowych budzi wiele wątpliwości trudnych bądź wprost niemożliwych do rozstrzygnięcia z obecnej perspektywy historycznej.(fragment tekstu)

The main aim of this article is to present industrial revolutions and their socio-economic consequences for the development of economics as a science. Special attention is given to showing the main characteristics of each revolution and presenting major changes in economic theories. The authors argue that the full picture of all shifts in economics, society and lives of individuals can be only visible from a long-term perspective. Therefore, it is difficult to determine the stage and the consequences of the current fourth industrial revolution for socio-economic development and evolution of economic theories.(original abstract)
