In recent years, the psychological contract has become increasingly important, especially in the context of organisational identification. However, knowledge on the subject is still ambiguous in particular with regard to the types of psychological contract. This publication is conceptual in nature and contributes to the discussion in the form of a synthesis of knowledge on the importance of the psychological contract and its types for organisational identification. A review was conducted of 42 publications obtained from international electronic databases: Scopus and Web of Science. The results of the analysis pertaining to the content of the publications show that the relational dimension of the psychological contract is most relevant to organisational identification.
