EN

Employment and employment forecasting should be perceived as parts of the broader labour market concept. The employment situation is seen as one of the major indicators of on-going economic processes. At the same time, the economic and social significance of employment gives rise to wide interest in both empirical observations and theories concerning changes in employment. The labour market is a microeconomic concept that evokes vivid discussions about theoretical and empirical approaches to its description and forecasting. (fragment of text)
