In this article, the author on the issue of whether the human brain can be matched by artificial intelligence in the field of broadly understood interlingual translation, implemented both in written and oral expression. So far, computers are not yet fully adapted to be able to freely translate texts in which, for example, a metaphor or idioms are used, because these processes can only be understood by the human brain, distinguishing linguistic pictures of the world of different comparatively compared languages. On the other hand, all kinds of processors, their memories and technical equipment, unfortunately, conceptually do not distinguish these processes, because they cannot think in categories like a human. They are programmed with an algorithm, which means that not all translations are handled well by the artificial intelligence in accordance with the accepted and applicable standard, language usage and convention for each native, national language used by users of a specific language area.(original abstract)

Wzrost komunikacyjnych potrzeb ludności związany z intensyfikacją rozwoju gospodarczego, rosnącą zamożnością społeczeństwa, zwiększoną mobilnością, postępującą integracją państw członkowskich Unii Europejskiej i rozszerzaniem Unii o kolejne kraje zachęca do poszukiwania obiektywnych, naukowych metod umożliwiających podejmowanie racjonalnych decyzji o rozwoju sieci transportowej.(fragment tekstu)
Wyniki i wnioski: w zbadanych materiałach dominował wydźwięk albo negatywny, albo ambiwalentny, jednak z większą ekspozycją elementów negatywnych. Purpose: The aim of the study is to indicate the essence of copyright in the context of what was, is, and may be. Drawing attention to the changing reality, the expansion of artificial intelligence as a potential author of a given work, who as the creator will be entitled to legal protection. If we assume that a snail and cancer can be a fish, a carrot can be a fruit, and a machine cannot be an inventor because it is just a tool, then what is copyright in human life? What is the difference between artificial intelligence in copyright law and the natural intelligence of a given author - creator, if both are intelligent creations? Why is there talk of a higher than natural intelligence in a situation in which it is not so much about something completely new and from the beginning, but about something that is simply better, faster, more accurate and more efficient in some respects than an intelligent man, whom this thing does not replace, but only helps. Design/methodology/approach: The research method used in this article is the analysis of legal sources, scientific studies of interdisciplinary scope, supplemented by interviews, observations and experience of the author. The research procedure included the analysis of information sources, a review of Polish and foreign literature, an analysis of legal acts, a method of analysis and synthesis, a case study and logical deductive reasoning in the timespace of yesterday - today - tomorrow. Findings: For centuries, man has wanted to be better, to overcome basically everything, including Nature, to create something that could have existed so far without his participation or with his indirect participation. The emergence of concepts related to artificial intelligence only seemingly suggests a desire to take control of man. Man is a realistic, rich structure composed of soul and body, which artificial intelligence does not have. Who will be the creator and who will be entitled to the rights and how they will be protected when the object of protection becomes the product of artificial intelligence. Thanks to the algorithms used, an artificial intellectual creator is able to quickly assimilate many things, but first he must know what. Here we come to a very important issue - who should "feed" artificial intelligence data so that the so-called biased algorithms are not created. At the moment, attributing copyright to machines and devices and granting them legal protection as a creator seems to be an action incompatible with the natural protection of man as a creator. Research limitations/implications: The limitations of the results obtained may result from a limited research sample, including textual sample. They may result from too innovative invention of comprehensive use of artificial intelligence, which in the case of copyright is attributed to man. The trick is to come up with an innovative solution and construct some unprecedented thing, but the success of this mainly depends on their widespread use. In many areas, artificial intelligence is to be used on the march, it will be more difficult to use it in areas that are inherently reserved for man with his creativity. Originality/value: The presented research, suggestions and conclusions provide not only practical but also theoretical tips to scientists and average citizens, mainly those who are not aware of what copyright is, what copyright protection is, who it is supposed to cover and to what extent. One of the objectives of the legislation on the use of artificial intelligence is to increase the protection of creators. Creating regulations to effectively protect the rights given to people, perhaps in the future also artificial intelligence.(original abstract)
Purpose: The purpose of the research was to identify potential HR development opportunities in the age of AI implementation in businesses, as well as the opinions of respondents regarding the use of AI in the company and HR activities. Design/methodology/approach: The analysis was conducted objectively, avoiding any subjective evaluations. The literature review as well as personal study were conducted. Two research questions have been formulated: (RQ1) How do respondents evaluate the use of AI in their workplace, and what potential do they see for AI in HRM processes? (RQ2) According to respondents, what is the impact of AI on HR activities and development? 99 participants took part in the study and completed an on-line survey questionnaire. The respondents were non-stationary students from the Faculty of Management at Czestochowa University of Technology. Findings: The research was cognitive in nature, and the collected data was subject to statistical analysis. The survey results revealed deficiencies in the implementation of advanced technology in HR operations among the companies surveyed. However, organizations and employees are aware of the benefits of implementing AI solutions. Research limitations/implications: The study is limited by the selection of the research sample (working part-time students); in the future, it is planned to involve employees of HR departments of various enterprises and institutions in the study for greater credibility of the study results. Practical implications: The use of solutions offered by AI in practice accelerates the implementation of HR activities and thus achieves better work efficiency in a shorter time. HR in the future will be completely or mostly dominated by modern technology. Social implications: Some individuals approach artificial intelligence more critically, while others take a conservative stance and seek out its various 'flaws.' The use of artificial intelligence in business is inevitable, especially in the HR area, so employees from these departments must take into account major changes in the nature of their work. Originality/value: The article discusses the current topic of the use of AI-based solutions in business. Artificial intelligence is becoming more prevalent in business operations as it automates processes, resulting in more efficient and effective task execution, particularly in the case of repetitive tasks. (original abstract)
The introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the proceedings involving the collection, processing and presentation of statistical data opens up new horizons, but also poses new challenges. AI, as a powerful technological tool, can significantly contribute to accelerating and facilitating statistical processes by automating many tasks. For example, machine learning algorithms can be used to analyse large data sets, identify patterns and forecast trends, which can considerably increase the efficiency of statistical agencies. Nevertheless, the advent of AI poses additional risks to the integrity, clarity and impartiality of statistical data. Automating statistical operations using AI involves potential dangers. It may result in the overreliance on algorithm-generated outcomes, disregarding the necessity for the critical examination and interpretation of data. Furthermore, AI systems are susceptible to many types of mistakes and biases, resulting in the risk for inaccurate or prejudiced findings. The paper is a form of an experiment, as it was written with the use of one of the modern technology tools, i.e. AI. ChatGPT 3.5 created 90% of the content. The study is meant to determine the performance of AI in terms of preparing a scientific article dealing with issues relating to the FPOS. The writers' responsibility, on the other hand, was restricted to generating prompts (questions), logically evaluating the responses provided by ChatGPT 3.5, organising them into the format of a scientific article, compiling a reference list and preparing an introduction and a summary. It should also be emphasized that the article was generated in May 2024. Since then, AI-related tools have developed significantly, although the principles of working with AI tools such as prompt engineering or response verification (hallucination checking) have not changed. The Figure illustrates one of the questions that AI was asked to answer. (fragment of text)
Stwarza to potrzebę opracowania i wdrożenia długoterminowej strategii w celu znalezienia równowagi między ochroną obywateli przed ewentualnymi szkodami a umożliwieniem innowacji technologicznych. Krajom sąsiadującym z UE zaproponowano różne warianty polityki i systemy prawne.(abstrakt oryginalny)

Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) play a vital role in the medical field in solving various health problems like estimating the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The article concerns the process of developing ANNs for estimating the risk of arterial hypertension. ANNs proposed in this article use anthropometrical predictors, easy to control for everybody at home without special equipment. In the article we analyze four different models of ANNs and try to find out which model and set of anthropometrical predictors estimates the risk the most accurately. We use dataset of 2485 real cases of patients from the city of Lodz. The experiment was done in the Matlab environment. The performance of the proposed method in terms of accuracy and facility of use shows that ANNs can be effective tools for preliminary tests of arterial hypertension. (original abstract)

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are one of top investment priorities in these days. They are aimed at finding applications in fields of special value for humans, including education. Chatbots are one of those AI-driven solutions that support learning and teaching processes also in higher education institutions. In this paper there are presented two cases of chatbot technology implementation at Polish universities. Chatbots develop students' technical and programming skills, but also provide the possibility of gaining linguistic expertise. However, a chatbot's teaching mastery depends also on its users. That is why it is important to get students to truly understand AI systems and feel responsible for the conversation. But above all, we should ensure that chatbots respect human and civil rights.
