Aim/purpose - This paper systematically reviews the literature of employer branding (EB) and employee-based brand equity (EBBE) using the Application Programming Interface (API) provided by Google Scholar. While combining EB and EBBE this paper considers both the perspective of current, as well as potential employees and provides a systematization of knowledge related to organizational attractiveness and the impact of employees on the organizational brand. A four-stage process empowered by was used to review the existing literature: 1) to identify the current tendencies Google Trends search was applied; 2) to search the databases and to identify the most active contributors (publishers and authors) the scholar API was used; 3) PRISMA-S checklist was applied to ensure the rigorousness of systematic literature review; 4) to expose the interdependence of the concepts a bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer 1.6.18 software; 5) finally this study proposes a comprehensive framework of employer branding. Findings - The research on employer branding has grown substantially in the past decades and various conceptual and empirical studies have advanced the knowledge of both employer and internal branding. Still, the progression in the literature is narrow due to complexity of the field. This study identifies the main dimensions of employer branding and offers a comprehensive framework to systematize the current state of art. Research implications/limitations - The multidisciplinary nature of employer branding has led to a dispersed understanding of constructs and applications in the academic studies. This study focuses on the marketing/branding perspective and does not consider the studies grounded purely in human resource management. Originality/value/contribution - This study increases our understanding of the current literature and new research trends in employer branding and employee-based brand equity. Additionally, it explains the link between EB and EBBE. While applying the recently developed scholar API and artificial intelligence empowered software to conduct the systematic review, this study creates a procedure that can be used by researchers in an array of fields.(original abstract)
Theoretical background: The attributes of a luxury brand include both the physical characteristics of the product and the symbolic values that the brand provides to the consumers. Symbolism is interpreted as prestige, beauty, charisma, the creation of which requires larger and more time-consuming efforts than just producing a unique, expensive, high-quality product. An important aspect of a reliable, trustworthy image is the history of the brand and its creators. In the opinion of many authors, it is an important element of the brand's value, not only shaping its luxurious image, but also providing psychological values. Although history is not always indicated directly among the attributes of luxury brands, it is the basis of other values ascribed to them. The luxurious nature of the brand is often defined in the literature through the prism of its symbolism, an important element of which is history, along with heritage and country of origin. A prestigious heritage is built and maintained in time and culture by brands that are embedded in historical notions of luxury. As a result of associations with the heritage, brand is perceived as the highest quality, unique and authentic one. Symbolism, heritage and the history of a luxury brand are related to emotional qualities of personal indulgence and self-expression. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to verify the importance of the history of the brand in the process of shaping the value of a luxury brand in the perception of consumers. Research methods: A total of 203 valid responses were collected from wealthy respondents declaring monthly income over PLN 20,000 gross. An analysis of the results of the study was carried out, as well as an analysis of the literature. Main findings: In the era of dynamic development of new technologies, unpredictable changes in consumer expectations towards companies and their offers, it turns out that history, heritage and attachment to tradition are highly valued by consumers of luxury goods. They shape a higher level of trust, both in the company's brand and its products, and increase the consumers purchase willingness. Companies that can boast of long history should undoubtedly communicate it intensively and care about providing consumers not only with basic values related to the product itself, but also symbolic values, which are particularly important for consumer of luxury goods. History and the heritage of a luxury brand constitute one of the essential elements of the brand's value and should also be treated as such by companies. (original abstract)

Content available remote A Multi-Dimensional Framework for the Development of Authentic Consumer Products
80%
A common assumption in product value literature is that authenticity is what contemporary consumers value the most. However, as this paper illustrates, the meaning of authenticity is unclear, and the term appears foreign to product development practitioners. The purpose of this paper is to explore in what ways product development professionals talk about product value in general and how this relates to authenticity. The analysis of the interviews reveals that product developers must embrace authenticity as a holistic framework if the phenomenon is to be constructive for companies within the product development industry. In line with the concept of authenticity as a multi-dimensional framework, this paper suggests that authenticity does not solely result from certain intrinsic tangible or intangible product characteristics, and that commercially strong products and brands do not automatically become "authentic". The contribution of this paper to the product development field is a framework for a multidimensional construct of authenticity, and an account of what representatives within selected companies talk about when asked about how they create consumer value, and how they contribute to valuable consumer experiences. The findings are analysed and discussed in the context of literature on product development, brand management and marketing management.(original abstract)

Given the peculiar characteristics of cities, which in many ways render them unamenable to manipulation following the product-concept philosophy, an alternative approach to conceptualising city brands is required. Focus must shift to understanding city brands in terms of how they are experienced and how local authorities can take a leading role in designing and assisting users to co-create valuable city brand experiences. Leading contributions from the theory and practice of the experience economy, service dominant (S-D) logic and consumer brand experiences provide the basis for public and private organisations to devise innovative ways to co-create city brand experiences with city brand users.
Stosując klasyczną definicję marketingu sportowego, analizie poddano elementy związane z rynkowym uwarunkowaniem pozycji produktów i przedsiębiorstw realizowanych z wykorzystaniem sportowych kanałów nośności marketingowej.
Research background: Brands are considered to be the most valuable asset of a company. Some of them achieve spectacular global results. The significance of global brands is proved by the fact that their value is often greater than the sum of all company's net assets.Purpose of the article: The aim of this article is to highlight that brand value does not only create company's value, but also leverages economies. The Authors claim that even though global brands are sold worldwide and are a part of "global factories", they strongly relate to the development of economies in the countries where these brands' headquarters are located. Methods: Based on 500 Brandirectory, the Most Valuable Global Brands ranking powered by Brand Finance, an analysis of spatial autocorrelation of brand values, GDP per capita was performed and also the interdependency between them was illustrated with the use of the spatial cross-regressive model (SCM). The SCM approach allowed us to include spatial effects of brand values into the final form of the estimated equation. The empirical analysis was performed for 33 countries in 2014.Findings & Value added: Findings confirm the hypothesis that there is a highly statistically significant relationship between brand value and GDP per capita and, what's more, it is observed that spatial dependencies matter for brand values. The evidence is based on the results of spatial cross-regressive model (SCM). (original abstract)

Purpose: This study aims to assess the impact of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance on the determination of brand value, considering both its aggregate influence and the effects of its individual subdimensions. Design/methodology/approach: The hypothesis that environmental, social, and governance practices enhance brand value is tested. The study uses regression and correlation analyses to evaluate the relationship between Brandfinance Global 500 brand values, S&P Global ESG scores, financial variables, and enterprise value over the period 2013-2023. Findings: The results of multiple regression analyses indicate that assets and enterprise value positively influence brand value, while, contrary to expectations, the overall ESG score exerts a negative effect. The analysis of ESG subdimensions reveals varying impacts: the environmental dimension positively correlates with brand value, the governance dimension exhibits a negative relationship, and the social dimension shows no statistically significant relationship. Practical implications: The findings emphasize the need for a more nuanced and critical approach to ESG evaluation. Stakeholders should focus on the quality and authenticity of ESG practices, rather than simply relying on aggregate scores. This research encourages a shift towards a more sustainable and responsible business environment. Social implications: he research highlights the disconnect between perceived ESG performance and actual brand value, raising concerns about the authenticity and effectiveness of current ESG practices. This has far-reaching social implications, impacting investor behavior, corporate governance, consumer expectations, and regulatory policies. Originality/value: This study is expected to add to the scarce research that examines the connection between brand value and ESG performance. By elucidating the relationships within the brand value-firm value-ESG score framework, the findings are expected to significantly influence the strategic decisions of corporate, brand and financial managers.
