Artykuł ma na celu prezentację zagadnień dotyczących integracji zarządzania komunikacją miejską w obszarach zurbanizowanych. Omówiono problematykę tworzenia i funkcjonowania związków komunalnych oraz porozumień taryfowo-biletowych jako rozwiązań integrujących zarządzanie komunikacją zbiorową.

The subject of the article is the integration of management of municipal transport in urban areas. This integration can refer to the whole system or take place in a limited sphere of fare tariffs. In agglomerations, full integration demands intercom, - munal cooperation with a municipal union being its most developed tool. In turn, fare-tariff integration (which can be prior to the full integration) may be based on the institution of civil agreement. It gives a wide outlook for not only regional but also branch system integration. The article shows in detail the purpose and the way of creating municipal unions, their authorities and the rules of functioning. The principles of functioning of fare-tariff agreements have been described on the example of the agreement that was signed in 1994 between Komunikacyjny Związek Komunalny GOP and Międzygminny Związek Komunikacji Pasażerskiej in Świerklaniec.
