Przedstawiono funkcjonowanie programu PHARE CBC na terenie Polski. Szczególne miejsce poświęcono projektom zrealizowanym z jego pomocą na terenie województwa dolnośląskiego.

The article presents assumptions and opportunities for the utilisation of PHARE PROGRAMME. This programme, constituting a vital element of cross border co-operation in Poland within the last few years, has allowed its beneficiaries to re-duce the distance towards the European Union structures. The objective of PHARE and especially the Programme of Cross-border Cooperation PHARE CBC, since the very beginning, was the assistance of both population and the institutions of cross border regions in carrying out broad cooperation. It is considered the most important programme for cross border cooperation and one can point to many examples of substantial activities within the PHARE CBC programme. (original abstract)
