Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie metodyki pomiaru parametrów opisujących transport wilgoci w materiałach o zróżnicowanych właściwościach hydrofilowych i strukturze, na prototypowym, kompterowym urządzeniu "Hy-Tester".

Detailed procedures for operating the "Hy-Tester" system and a method for measuring a number of quantities describing the migration of humidity in a group of materials used for footwear and clothing are presented. An operator is able to determine the moment of achieving the thermal and sorptive equilibriums and then to start the measurement proper. The process is of a dynamic character, and the measuring system makes it possible to follow temperatures and relative humidities in the media on both sides of the tested sample and to analyse changes in them in the function of time. On the basis of the registered data various quantities describing the migration of humidity are determined. Two methods for determining steam permeability, as the instantaneous permeability and in the state of equilibrium, are described. Also a method for determining the sorption of steam by the tested material is described. The problem of outdropping of humidity, a phenomenon that is important for the evaluation of the hygienic properties of a material, is analysed. (original abstract)
