Abstrakty

Omówiono sytuację absolwentów szkół wyższych wchodzących na rynek pracy. Porównano strukturę wykształcenia siły roboczej w Polsce i w krajach OECD. Przeprowadzono analizę w celu określenia perspektyw przyszłych absolwentów szkół wyższych.

In recent years, higher education in Poland has seen very dynamic growth. The number of students and graduates in all subjects has increased. The structure of students in terms of subjects chosen has also changed. Together, these phenomena have disturbed the equilibrium on the labour market. The growth in the number of university graduates mean that the labour market cannot absorb them. Consequently, the percentage of unemployed graduates has rapidly increased over the recent period. The situation for persons finishing their education at a lower level is rather different. Graduates of vocational schools are in demand on the labour market and the number of unemployed persons who finished their education at the vocational school level has decreased. Comparing the educational structure of Polish society with that of OECD countries and also the structure of employed persons relative to education in those countries, one may hope that the current problems of university graduates are transitory. In all the compared countries, the best guarantee of obtaining work is higher education. Furthermore, people with the highest qualifications (education) receive the highest pay. (original abstract)
