The topic of the paper is the category of "an ideal subordinate" in all structures of power and management. The author analyzes both the correlation between superior and subordinate and complicated and conflicting relationships among subordinates. Primary premises of this analysis come from Hegel's concept of reality and from Max Weber's and Georg Simmel's deliberations on formal structures of social life, especially burocracy. The author describes an ideal subordinate and indicates the model situations in which such subordinate acts. The author however concludes that such subordinate is only utopia.
