Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest porównanie struktury wiekowej bezrobotnych w 27 krajach UE w aspekcie dynamicznym. W badaniach wykorzystano m.in. wskaźniki podobieństwa struktur i wskaźniki dynamiki struktur. Aby wskazać kraje najbardziej podobne i najbardziej różniące się pod względem struktury wiekowej bezrobotnych, zastosowano wybrane metody analizy skupień. Otrzymane wyniki stanowiły podstawę porównania struktury wiekowej bezrobotnych w Polsce i w pozostałych państwach członkowskich UE. (fragment tekstu)

The article compares the age structure of the unemployed and how it changed in the 27 countries of the EU in the years 2002-2007. To this end, indicators of structural similarity and structural dynamics were used. To determine the most similar and dissimilar countries in terms of the age structure of their unemployed, selected methods of analysing concentration were employed. The use of a single-factor analysis of variance determined those factors that essentially differentiate the created groups of countries. The results were used as the background for a comparison of the age structure of unemployed in Poland with the other countries of the EU. The data for calculation were taken from International Labour Organisation reports by way of the databases of the British firm Euromonitor: Global Market Information Database. (original abstract)
