Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest przegląd prezentowanych w literaturze przedmiotu koncepcji pomiaru wartości pracy wolontariuszy. Bardziej precyzyjne określenie ekonomicznej wartości tej pracy pozwoliłoby na pełniejsze ustalenie wpływu organizacji niezyskownych na funkcjonowanie współczesnych społeczeństw. Dodatkowym efektem byłoby wzbogacenie zasobów informacji wykorzystywanych w formułowaniu ocen działalności organizacji pożytku publicznego, a dzięki tym poczynaniom wzrost jakości podejmowanych przez nie decyzji. In modern societies, an important and extremely useful role is played by non-public, not-for-profit organisations. Such organisations generally rely on voluntary work. However, although such work often helps a society function better, its economic value is not systematically measured. In modern accounting, analysis of the value added by not-for-profit organisations remains outside the mainstream of research. In this article, the author reviews the literature on the concept of measuring the value of voluntary work. He attempts to show that measurements of the value of such work would enrich the information used to assess the activities of public utility organisations and thereby enhance the effectiveness of the decisions made within them.
