Abstrakty

There has been substantial interest in research and public policy concern over the role of self-employment in OECD countries' development. In addition, self-employment has grown rapidly from very low levels in the post-communist countries after the crash of the centrally planned system. Now, transition economies like Poland face major challenges in job creation and poverty alleviation while contending with social and economic restructuring. Entrepreneurs running small businesses play a vital role in job creation, new product development and growing new industries in what is now a competitive economy. Furthermore, self-employment is perhaps one of the most important and critical moments in the entrepreneurship supply process. (fragment of text)
