Proces budżetowania w przedsiębiorstwie przemysłowym jest tematem poruszanym bardzo często w literaturze z dziedziny rachunkowości zarządczej czy controllingu. W niniejszym opracowaniu etapy procesu budżetowania w ujęciu teoretycznym zostaną skonfrontowane z praktyką gospodarczą na przykładzie międzynarodowego koncernu, działającego na rynku przemysłu ciężkiego. This article consists of five parts. The first four present the main guidelines of the budgeting process. The fifth part shows the use of the theoretical presumptions in a well known industrial concern which has factories in 16 countries and the sales office in 31 countries all over the world. The aim of the article is to describe the main stages of the budgeting process in the practical use. Three main detailed budgets which comprise the main budget are presented here. Each detailed budget ends with a short analysis which helps to interpret the received results. The present article does not show all the problems of the budgeting process but it can be a basic example for other companies which are going to plan their own future effectively. I think that in Poland there are still a lot of companies (first of all state- owned) which do not know how important the future anticipation is today. This study has been based on the textbook of Colin Drury Costing. The Introduction and on Financial Handbook which is the main financial textbook for the budgeting process in the companies belonging to the described industrial concern. (original abstract)
