Abstrakty

Zatoka Perska stanowi istotny region geopolityczny w dzisiejszym świecie. Strategiczne położenie geopolityczne, ogromne zasoby surowców energetycznych, niestabilność społeczno-polityczna państw regionu oraz ciągła wielopłaszczyznowa penetracja ze strony mocarstw światowych kształtują jej geostrategiczny charakter. Celem artykułu jest analiza rosnącego zaangażowania Paktu Północnoatlantyckiego (NATO) w regionie Zatoki Perskiej. Ważną kwestią badawczą pozostaje ewolucja roli NATO w dzisiejszym świecie oraz rzeczywiste role, jakie Pakt chciałby odgrywać w analizowanym obszarze. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Persian Gulf is a very important geopolitical region in the world today. Its strategic location, enormous energy resources, social and political instability of the countries in the region and a continual multidimensional penetration by world superpowers constitute its geostrategic character. The article aims to analyze the increasing NATO's involvement in the region of Persian Gulf. Another essential research issue is the evolution of NATO's role in today's world and the real roles the Pact would like to play in the analyzed area. (original abstract)
