Abstrakty
In recent decades, in rural areas of Mexico, one of the alternatives for income support and toehold of economic activities has been the formation of small family businesses. Which to address the limitations of underdeveloped marketing channels and institutional infrastructure have made one of their strategies is the turn to social networks to get information, capital, knowledge and labor. The social networking with family, friends and acquaintances in the countryside and beyond to support the creation of small businesses, constitute the most important strategies resorted to by increasing numbers of people from rural areas, for the survival of their business and improving their quality of life, as shown by the analysis of two family businesses located in the rural area of Mexico City
