The Problem Statement Lacunas (Gaps) in Ancient Philosophy

In antiquity were discovered and formulated many problems with лакунарный character for the Western tradition of knowledge and socio-cultural practices (Heraclitus, Zenon, Socrates, the sophists, skeptics). On the other hand, the methods and the principles of elimination of gaps: the method of Socrates, the principles of formal logic of Aristotle, the principles of limited knowledge (Gorgias and others), the principles of cultural relations (Epicurus and others). Comparative analysis of the Greek and Indian, Chinese traditions shows a fundamental difference gaps depending on the cultural and historical tradition of philosophy, as well as the presence of gaps «zones» between different intellectual traditions. Ancient philosophy gives a detailed panorama of lacunae. This cognitive gaps, language gaps and logical paradoxes, social gaps. Identifying different types of gaps effectively as methods of comparative analysis, comparison, Chinese, Greek, Indian philosophy and methods of immanent analysis. Comparison of ancient Chinese, Indian and Greek wisdom in the basic moments demonstrates that in the world Outlook, ontological, gnoseological, anthropological areas there are differences of these philosophical directions, which provide cross-cultural philosophical and ideological lacunas. It is detected in the interpretation of concepts such as being and non-being, man, the meaning of life, principles of knowledge. (original abstract)
