Abstrakty
W 1969 r. Anton podjął pracę asystenta w Instytucie Planowania Przestrzennego i Demografii. Do połowy lat 1970. zajmował się problematyką ludności i rozwoju regionalnego. Od 1975 r. skoncentrował się na demografii rodziny, podejmując badania cyklu rozwoju rodziny kobiet zamężnych i poprzednio zamężnych w Holandii. Ten projekt badawczy, finansowany przez Holenderskie Ministerstwo Spraw Społecznych (Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs) miał w zamierzeniu rozszerzenie demograficznego modelu projekcyjnego Holenderskiego Urzędu Statystycznego (Netherlands' Central Bureau of Statistics - NCBS) poprzez włączenie modułu o rodziny i dzieci. Model ten zwiększyłby istotnie użyteczność prognoz dla ministerstwa, szczególnie z punktu widzenia aktywności zawodowej kobiet, W dotychczas używanym przez NCBS modelu projekcyjnym kobiety były ujęte według stanu cywilnego, zaś urodzenia małżeńskie rozpatrywano według czasu małżeństwa i kolejności urodzenia. Nie uwzględniano natomiast powiązania między liczbą kobiet i liczbą dzieci w rodzinie. (abstrakt oryginalny)
