Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest rekonstrukcja ekonomicznej analizy ubóstwa i głodu zaproponowanej przez Amartya Sena, hinduskiego ekonomistę, który otrzymał Nagrodę Nobla w 1998 r. W pierwszej części omówiono podstawowe pojęcia filozofii społecznej i teorii ubóstwa Amartyi Sena. Część druga artykułu stanowi rozwinięcie teorii Sena i omówienie zjawisk ubóstwa i głodu oraz dobrobytu we współczesnym świecie.
