Abstrakty
Daje on inwestorom możliwość krótkiego inwestowania w zmienność.
Equity-linked discount certificate is one of the popular discount instruments, serving investing in volatility. Efficiency of investing in this financial instrument rises in periods of low interest rates on the bond markets and high volatility of prices on the stock markets. It offers then relatively high discount in comparison with stock prices. The complex construction of equity- linked discount certificate causes difficulties in the correct pricing of its value. This pricing is possible by duplication of payment profiles of the main components of this value: zero bond and options. Comparing the calculated in this way theoretical "fair" prices of discount certificates to their issue prices enables investors to estimate the level of additional expense for restructuring and take correct investment decision. The same concerns relations of prices on the secondary market. (original abstract)
