Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja zmian zróżnicowania zamożności w latach 1998-2002, mierzonej wielkością wydatków ekwiwalentnych na 1 osobę w różnych typach polskich gospodarstw domowych. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie wyników badań budżetów gospodarstw domowych, przeprowadzonych przez GUS.

In their article, the authors present the concept of use of monthly equivalent (according to the OECD scale) per capita expenditure as a measure of households' affluence. The data on expenditure are taken from household budgets surveys carried out by the Central Statistical Office in 1998-2002. The analysis of changes in differentiation of expenditure is carried out on the basis of doubly weighted classical measures of the pattern of distributions in various types of households. Having in mind a strong positive asymmetry of expenditure distributions, the authors applied the positional measures, quintiles. On the basis of the results obtained, the authors state that differentiation of Polish households' affluence increased in 1998-2002. The worst situated groups include the households connected with agriculture and, apart from them, those of pensioners and people without earnings, and households consisting of many members. On the other hand, differences in voivoidship (province) profile decreased. (original abstract)
